Family Office Personnel
Highworth Research collects the names of family office personnel, the names of their firms, their business addresses and, in the case of some but not all personnel, their summary biographies and their email addresses.
This information is used for the purpose of providing a service under the grounds of “legitimate interest”, and may be published in Highworth’s Single Family Offices Database. Highworth Research’s legitimate business interest, and the purpose of the firm processing such data, is to provide an information service to those companies such as private banks, asset managers and other professional service firms who may wish themselves to offer a professional service to family offices.
Any biographical data about family office personnel which Highworth Research may identify and publish in its Single Family Offices Database is derived only from sources which the data subject himself or herself has placed in the public domain, such as summary biographies in the annual reports or on the websites of public or private companies, or LinkedIn profiles, or similar public sources. Similarly we obtain and publish a data subject’s email address from publicly available sources.
Highworth Research Subscribers or Further information Enquirers
Highworth Research collects the following data from subscribers to, or enquiries about, its Single Family Offices Databases on the occasions that such data is supplied to us by the Subscribers or Enquirers themselves:
Subscriber’s or Enquirer’s name, name of business, address of business, business email address and business phone number. When a subscriber connects to a Highworth Research service, Highworth logs his/her IP address.
Highworth Research processes such data on the grounds of “legitimate interest”. Highworth’s legitimate interest is to respond to an Enquirer’s request for further information about its products. Further, Highworth’s legitimate interest is to provide a contracted service as ordered by a Subscriber, and to use the information provided by the subscriber for that purpose.
With whom does Highworth Research share a Subscriber’s or Enquirer’s personal/business information?
Highworth Research does not share such data with third parties, except to the extent necessary to fulfil any Contracts or Agreements we may have with Subscribers or Enquirers.

Contact details of Subscribers and Enquirers are stored for varying periods depending on the purpose for which the data was collected.
Billing data is retained for the lifetime of our contract with a Subscriber and then for seven further years in order to comply with current tax law.

We use a third party server to host our website. Our website server automatically logs the IP address you use to access our website as well as other information about your visit such as the pages accessed, information requested, the date and time of the request, the source of your access to our website (e.g. the website or URL (link) which referred you to our website), and your browser version and operating system.

Our third party hosting provider stores server logs to ensure network and IT security and so that the server and website remain uncompromised. This includes analysing log files to help identify and prevent unauthorised access to our network, the distribution of malicious code, denial of services attacks and other cyber attacks, by detecting unusual or suspicious activity.Unless we are investigating suspicious or potential criminal activity, we do not make, nor do we allow our website server provider to make any attempt to identify you from the information collected via server logs.
